tesaTwinlock® Sleeves: Innovation in Christiansen Print flexographic printing

tesaTwinlock® has reached Ilsenburg

As Europe's leading "preprinters", we continue to set new standards — not just by using new printing technologies, e.g. by commissioning the world's largest HP PageWide T1100S multi-lane digital web press in 2017. We also continue to upgrade and boost existing technologies by constantly investing and innovating. This way, our customers can have an even broader range of options to choose from and always benefit from maximum synergies.

At our Ilsenburg site in the Harz region, CI flexographic printing is about to become even more efficient. In the coming months, we will fit our entire stock of base sleeves with tesaTwinlock® mounting sleeves — a unique technology that helps build the bond between printing plates and cylinders or sleeves without using adhesive plate mounting tape.

High standardisation, which again optimises our processes, is not the only advantage offered by self-adhesive sleeves. We can also improve our print performance and make production more sustainable by avoiding waste. Björn Vorlop, Operating Engineer at Ilsenburg: "We work in a region that is renowned for the beauty of its nature and we want to do our part to preserve it for future generations."

Presently, we are making technical preparations so as to be able to fully automate the process in the near future. By the end of 2018, Ilsenburg will have completely switched to tesaTwinlock®.
